My name is Sam, and I’m an Alt Country singer, guitarist and songwriter. I grew up immersed in the sounds of bands/artists like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, KISS, Paramore, Evanescence, Dolly Parton, and Carrie Underwood, so I'm a life-long lover of all things rock and alt, as well as country and folk. I've always believed that combining these influences can create something truly spectacular, so you'll often find me transforming heavy rock tracks into gentle country songs, as well as writing heartfelt original tracks infused with folky magic. My first great love was songwriting, and I adore being able to tell stories through my music.

I've been a regular on the Northern music circuit for over a decade and have toured the UK multiple times, appearing on line-ups below the likes of KT Tunstall, The Shires, Newton Faulkner, and Lucy Dacus, and receiving support from BBC Radio across the country.  In 2022, I was named the Girls I Rate Future Hitmaker, and was awarded a songwriter’s fund powered by PRS Foundation and Spotify, releasing my debut EP '95' as a result.

When I'm not penning new material, I'm singing at weddings, my other great love. I really believe that everything about your wedding day should be uniquely and authentically yours, no compromises - and the same goes for the soundtrack.

I love nothing more than putting my own rootsy spin on old-school rock anthems and alternative throwbacks, and making audience members double-take with creative arrangements. My repertoire is hugely diverse, covering everything from Iron Maiden and Green Day to Taylor Swift and ABBA, just right for anyone who loves an eclectic playlist, but is a true Rock ’N’ Roller at heart.
